Monday 14th August the Downs & South Western District Ladies Golf Assoc. Inc. held the Ladies District Foursomes Championships at Toowoomba Golf Club. The 130 plus ladies enjoyed the day with great weather and beautiful course conditions. We would like to thank the managment and Ladies Committee at Toowoomba Club for all their support and great work for having the course in such great condition. Of course the beautiful morning tea it was delicious.
Ladies travelled from a wide area of the district to compete and I am sure they were not disappointed with the day as it was a good warm up to the two days to follow.
The Overall Gross Winners were Margaret Richards(City) and Sam Hinze(Warwick) with a score of 88 Gross. The Overall Nett Winners were Cathy Merker and Sandra Speers(Chinchilla) 73 1/2 Nett.
