The 43rd Annual District Championships were held at Warwick from the 17th to 19th August. There were 106 players in the field on the first day contesting our Foursomes Championships. Congratulations to Samantha Hinze & Cate Wilmot who won this event by the narrow margin of 1 stroke with a 86 gross. Unfortunately, 11 players could not attend due to the Covid 19 lockdown however, 14 clubs were represented at the championships. A special thank you must go to Warwick ground staff & members for the excellent presentation of their course.

The first day of play was followed by the Annual Dinner held at the Warwick RSL Club. Thank you to the Warwick ladies for their beautiful decorations on the tables. The meal was superb and was followed by the presentation of the Foursomes Championship’s trophies. Wednesday’s event was a single stroke with a field of 100 participants & Thursday’s event also a single stroke with 94 participants competing for the Silver, Bronze 1 & Bronze 2 Championships as well as the Club Champion of Champions (Pat McIntrye Perpetual Trophy), Veteran’s Champion of Champions, District Veteran’s Champion (Val Fooks Perpetual Trophy), District Senior Veteran’s Champion & daily trophies for both days. Congratulations to all the winners.
